Thcro hns Just beon discovered In tho family archives ot n landed proprietor pro-prietor In Mecklenburg a hitherto unpublished un-published letter written by tho celebrated cele-brated Marshal niuchcr to his wife on tho ovo of tho Ilnttlo of Wntcrloo. Tho letter Is couched In tho unlquo stylo nnd spelling peculiar to tho old soldier, which, however, aro partly lost in tho following translation from tho Germnn: "Compronno, Juno 17, 1815. "Hero I sit In tho room In which Mary Louisa spent her hrldnl night. It Is hnrd to Imagine nnythlng moro beautiful than Compronno. What n pity that I must part from hero tomorrow, to-morrow, becnuso within thrco days I must bo In Paris. S "It Is possible, ond most probable, that Ilonaparto will bo handed over to mo nnd Wellington. Do not think I can do anything better than to havo him shot. This would bo a servlco to mankind.
