Clark were appointed to circulate a petition requesting thnt the question of levying n 2-mlll tnx for the establishment of a library and gymnnslum be put on the ticket nnd the citizens given nn opportunity to vote for or against tho movement move-ment at the coming November election. elec-tion. Tho committee soon secured tho CO signers required and tho question ques-tion will bo voted on nt the city election elec-tion to be held Nov. 5th. At this session It was agreed to call a mass meeting of tho pcoplo of Garland men nnd women to meet nt the hnll Saturday evening (tonight) Oct. 26, for tho purpose of organizing a local league, and appointing a delcgato to the State league.
