In a prettily planned church ceremony on Thursday, May 20th, Miss Myrna Lee Syme, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lees Syme of Garfield, became the bride of Allen Sizemore, son of Mr. and Mrs. DeVar Sizemore of Bacchus. Patriarch B. H. Dimick performed the ceremony in the Garfield wardhouse at seven o'clock in the presence of family members and a few close friends. A reception followed. The lovely bride chose a white satin and net frock. Her veil of bride's illusion was caught back in a halo effect and she carried a bouquet of white roses surrounding a lavender orchid. Attendants were Mrs. Joan Riley, matron of honor: Mrs. Kathleen Kelsey and Mrs. Betty Jane - Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brooks have returned home after a most enjoyable te-d- trip to San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento and other places of interest in California. In charge of the gifts were Gloria Syme, Marian Austin, assisted by Melba Sipple and Idonna Richards. The young couple later left on a honeymoon trip to Elko, Nevada, and are now making their home at 1067 East 4th South, Salt Lake City. Honoring the charming bride, three friends, Glenna Peterson, Carol Dennison and Melba Sipple entertained Tuesday at a personal shower in Miss Peterson's home. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Geery returned Wednesday morning after an enjoyable two weeks trip in Mexico visiting friends and places of historical interest Mrs. Mabel Garfield will entertain members of her Sewing Club next Monday afternoon at her home.
