We hear the storm made hunting rather miserable but we were glad to see the folks who came home. Stan Foy is the president. presi-dent. Paul Julander and Gary Bennett Ben-nett are the counselors and Sal Luca is the clerk. In the LDS Panguitch 2nd Ward the speakers were Randi Miller, Michelle Schow and Andrea Guil-lette Guil-lette of the Primary presidency. Karli Owens, daughter of Gary and Karla Owens, sang "I Love to Read the Scriptures." Joe Black of the LDS Stake Presidency presented Clifford McFarland to be the new ward mission leader, Wayne Ross was released from that position. Visiting the ward was native Art Talbot and four sons and former resident Dan Harris. The Chili-Bake Sale turned out really well with lots of folks taking advantage of an already cooked meal. Delicious. New sidewalks are going in on both sides of South Main street. On the former Kaibab road the sewer line is being laid. The road into the Special Events Center, going go-ing through the Evans' Coal Yard and Burton's R & R Welding will be a regular city street. Construction Construc-tion continues on the Center. Here to hunt with dad Art Crosby were son Bill, his two sons Justin and Eric and two grandsons, Robert and his son Bob and Steve and his son, Nick. The late Silas and Nellie Crosby's son, Doug and his son, Mike, also joined the Crosbys to hunt and visit and rehash re-hash family happenings. Clifford and Betty McFarland's new house is all enclosed with porch posts set full length of the east and west sides. In the Panguitch LDS 4th Ward Glen and Veda Tebbs Hale were called to the Activity Committee. The Primary children gave the program. pro-gram. The Laurel Holmans have had family here and Earl and Evalyn Roe have had visitors. The Markay Englesteads and Cleve and Tamra Talbot Weaver families were here hunting with Markay's parents, Kay and Corrine Englestead and grandparents Ray and Caryl Englestead. We hear Caryl really did well with the biggest big-gest buck in the group. Teacher Charlene Ancira's father passed away in Wyoming. Our sympathy goes to the Anciras. It is really dark at 7 a.m., especially espe-cially with storm clouds lowering. It seems too early to start work but since the time change now, it won't seem so early to start the day. In the Panguitch LDS 3rd Wand Gary and Tammi Henrie Bennett were the speakers. They also had their baby blessed. Tammy is a daughter of Vee and Janis Henrie. Gary is the school counselor. Visiting at Maxine Crosby's were daughter-in-law Betty Crosby and her daughter, Tiffany Voylis and children Lyndsay and Allison and daughter, Kylie Barnes and baby. Ellis and Louise Tait visited at the home of her mother, Norma Talbot, for part of the time they were here and in Mt. Carmel, the rest of the time. Former long time resident Mary Barney died in Kanab. She was married to Floyd Barney. Their oldest son, Bruce, was married to Liz Miller, daughter of Allen and JoAnn Miller. Their son Charley is married to Marie Henrie, daughter of the late Kon and Cleo Henrie. The Barneys moved here when Crofts Kaibab Lumber came here. Our love goes to the Barneys and other family members. Alta Orton went to St. George for hand surgery. She stayed with daughter Joann Jones for several days. The fifth grade at the elementary school went on a field trip to Bryce Canyon. It was a little chilly. Bob and Juanita Smith went to Santaquin for the funeral of his brother, Ronnie Smith. They then went to Ogden to be present when their son-in-law, LaRell Cottle, was made an bishop in his LDS ward. Mack and Pat Oetting are home after a month-long trip to Europe. |
