Show PHS Supports Red Ribbon Week PANGUITCH Students from Panguitch schools recently held a Panguitch Fun Run, with help from the ParentTeacher Organization, volunteer firemen, and others. The idea was conceived as the PTA saw the need to get the community and schools to work together to combat drugs and violence. The activity was held to kick-off Utah's Red Ribbon Wee, a state-wide drug freeviolence free campaign held the week of Oct. 15. Students, volunteers, and Panguitch residents participated in a "nonathon", a nine-event challenge which included swimming, repelling, car pushing, running, four-wheeling, body mud bogging, biking, equestrian run, and paintball obstacle course. After the nonathon, participants cleaned trash from the rodeo grounds. Students from schools in Panguitch have planned community service projects monthly to prove their responsibility to their community. They intend to show they want to make Panguitch and Hatch better places to live. For more information on volunteering with youth, contact the school in your area. worth while any way.
