Show Election Results In a lackluster Republican primary pri-mary election on Tuesday Garfield County voters showed more interest than much of the rest of Utah with a 29 percent turnout of registered voters casting ballots. Chris Cannon garnered 446 votes against Tom Draschil's 122 in the single race on the ballot. Antimony had 15 for Cannon, 2 for Draschil with 29 percent voting; Boulder with 23 percent voting; Cannonville 36 for Cannon, 7 for Draschil with 43 percent voting; Escalante; 82 for Cannon, 16 for Draschil with 21 percent voting; Hatch 25 for Cannon, 8 for Draschil with 36 percent voting; Henrieville 25 for Cannon, 14 for Draschil with 35 percent voting, Panguitch 1st 99 for Cannon, 14 for Draschil with 21 percent voting; Panguitch 2nd 79 for Cannon, 14 fr Draschil with 20 percent voting and Tropic 68 for Cannon, 35 for Draschil with 30 percent voting. Ticaboo's votes, all cast by absen-tee absen-tee ballot, are yet to be counted. |
