Show Local and Society LISTON ALVEY Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Llston announce the marriage of their daughter, Lola Rae, to James A. (Jim) Alvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Alvey, all of Escalante. The young couple exchanged vows May 9th In the North ward church with Bishop Vernon Spencer performing the ceremony. Don Shurti was best man, Utahna Poulsen matron of honor, Beth Llston maid of honor; the bridesmaids were Peg gy Ormond, Jolynn Griffin, Joy Reld, and Carolyn Eyre. Pauline Lott and Renon Reed were in charge of gifts. Suzanne Reed and Elaine Lott were flower girls. The wedding party moved to the High School gym for a reception featuring a program and dancing. Bill Griffin was M.C. and after he located the lost card thlnp went smoothly. The newlyweds are graduates of the local High School and attended Trade Tec. In Richfield. After a weekend honeymoon they returned to Pro-vo where he has employment as a Carpenter's apprentice. TO WED Miss Barbary Barney Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Barney of Hatch announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Barbara, to Dennis J. Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton of Hatch. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 30, from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Hatch Culture Hall; everyone Is Invited to at tend. |
