Show Obituaries Uvon Roiindy BOULDER-Uvon Roundy, 52, Boulder, died Oct. 15, 1976, of a heart attack. He was born Jan. 28, 1924, Escalante, to Rees Jones and Sarah Rosalie Griffin Roundy. He married Elaine Coombs, Dec. 4, 1951, Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served as bishop of Boulder Ward from 1967 to 1975. He served in the 30th Infantry Battalion of the U. S. Army , during World War II in Europe. He was employed by Garkane Power Assn., Inc. Survivors: wife, sons, daughters, Wendell, Wesley, Melanie, Camille, Claudia, Brenda, Roberta, all Boulder; brothers, sisters, Allie M., Mrs. Wanlass (Dena) Alvey, both Escalante; Robert L., Orangevllle; Mrs. A. G. (Clema) McCaffery, Salt Lake City; Mrs. W. Lane (Marion) Foote, St. George; Mrs. Adolph (Olive) Austin, Arlington, Wash. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Boulder Ward chapel with Bishop Vard Coombs, conducting. Eugene WWttaker offered the family "prayer and Gladys LeFevre played prelude music. Robert Roundy gave the invocation. Speakers were Delane Griffin, Ross Hansen and Bishop Coombs. Music included selections by the ward choir and vocal duet by Cyndi Wilson and Diana Preston. Lane Foote offered the benediction. Pallbearers were Robert Roundy, Wanlass Alvey, Mayo Roundy, Wayne Foote, Wendell Roundy and Wesley Roundy. Honorary pallbearers were Deray Porter, Dan Coleman, Heber Poulson, Cecil Greiner, John Wingfield. A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. |
