Show Henries To Be Noted . On 50th Anniversary ' Mr. and Mrs. Ellis W. Henrie will be honored at an open house at the home of a daughter at 1010 26th St. Ogden, on Thursday, Nov. 1 between 6 and 9 p.m. The couple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Henrie were married Nov. 1, 1929, later solemnized In the St. George LDS Temple. Mr. Henrie was born Nov. 7, 1900 in Panguitch, a son of John and Louise Worthen Henrie. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1975. Prior to that he owned and operated a bakery In Kanab. He has also worked in Los Angeles and Las Vegas in the sheet metal business. Moving to Ogden in 1944, Mr. Henrie became co-owenr of Hardman & Henrie Sheet Metal Company, Mrs. Henrie, the for mer Nellie Pendleton was born Dec. 1, 1905 In Panguitch, a daughter of Wilford Woodruff and Lucy Underwood Pen dleton. Mrs. Henrie graduated from Keys & Moot School of Beauty in Salt Lake City and operated her own shop for some 15 years. She also worked at Hill Air Froce Baes as a clerk for five years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Henrie have been active in the LDS Church. Mrs. Henrie served as secretary to the Sunday School and Relief Society, a primary teacher and is presently a visiting teacher. Mr. Henrie has been In the Sunday School presidency and presently is a home teacher. They have two daughters, Mrs. Farrell (Beverly Gai) Adams and Mrs. darrell (Addie) Hancey. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. |
