Show TO WED t Barbara Ann Carter Mr. and Mrs. Albert M. Carter announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Barbara Ann, and Ira Hank Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex E. Allen of Orem. They will be wed August 28th in the Salt Lake Temple. The groom was born and raised in Escalante, a grandson of Eliza Mclnelly. OPEN HOUSE FOR NEWLYWEDS Mrs. Don Marshall Open House for Mr. and Mrs. Don Marshall will be held on Sunday, August 30, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Marshall. Everyone is invited to attend. Everyone Is Invited Charlie and Peggy Farmer are holding Open House for the Burnett Hendryx family August 31, 8 p.m., in the Seminary Building. Since the Hendryx family will be in town such a short time, Stanley, Steven, Carolyn, Bertha and Burnett will be looking forward to meeting and visiting all their friends and acquaintances of the past and meeting new,, friends. TO WED Miss Oraleen Christensen Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fritz Winzenried of 351 Douglas St., Salt Lake City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter Oraleen Christensen to Kent Ben Johnson, son of Attorney and Mrs. Ben B. Johnson of Preston, Idaho. Oraleen is the dau ghter of the late Oral Christensen. The marriage will take place September 4th in the Salt Lake Temple and a wedding dinner, will follow and a wedding reception at the North Thirty-Third ward, 453 South 11th East in Salt Lake. Miss Christensen is a June graduate of the University of Utah in Elementary Education, where she was affiliated with Chi Chapter of Lambda Delta Sigma and a member of S.E.A. & A.C.E. The prospective bridegroom is a senior at Weber College in Ogden where he is completing his degree in Chemistry. Attending the couple will be Miss Mary Jean Christensen, maid of honor; Mrs. Annette Loveless, Mrs. Darlene Bello, and Miss Jan Johnson. The flower girls will be Tammy and Dixie Excell. The best man is Steve Johnson. The newlyweds will then spend a honeymoon at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. t The Clarence Camerons spent last week at Salt Lake and Provo. Mrs. Mildred Riggs accompanied them to visit in the City. Monday, the H. Frank Ortons made a trip up north and brought Mrs. Riggs home. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley D. Tebbs spent a few days this week at Salt Lake on business. The Don Braithwaite family of Brigham City were weekend visitors in town. Gloria Ashurst and three children have returned to Dayton, Ohio after a month's Visit with her mother, Mrs. Florence McEwen. |
