Show Area Obituaries Harris Perry Sharp KANABLAS VEGAS -Harris Perry Sharp, age 82, died Monday, June 10, 2002 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Sept. 2, 1919 in El Paso, Tex., to Mary Harwood Harris Sharp and William Spencer Sharp. He married Margaret Fitzpatrick Sharp, who currently lives in Santa Fe, N.M. They were later divorced. He married Gail Perkins in Tonapah, Nev. in 1981. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Harris was a resident res-ident of Las Vegas since 1948. He was an accomplished architect, archi-tect, and started his own firm in 1954, which started under the name Zick and Sharp, changed to Sharp and Associates, and finally HSA. The firm is still going strong today. He greatly enjbyed hunting and fishing, and loved to tell stories, that seemed to get better every year. He had a great sense of humor. A handshake was as good as a contract, and he was always honest and true, especially espe-cially to his friends. He had homes in Las Vegas and Kanab, and divided his retirement years between the two. Survivors include wife Gail Sharp of Kanab and Las Vegas; "' I -i-Ttnrim 'lui'.i"'jmjii'WiiLMHLm i ' 1 i I . , Harris Sharp children Spencer (Carole) Sharp of Las Vegas, Mary Davis of Albuquerque, N.M.; Margaret (Herb) Miller of Denver, Colo.; Martha (Kent) Halla of New Mexico; Lynn Carpenter of Kanab; and Debbie (Randy) Hatch of Panguitch; brother Bill (Clara) Sharp of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements made with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab. |
