Show Rose Alynne Parker ESCALANTE Rose Alynne Parker, 83, a resident of Escalante, Utah, died at her daughter's home in the The Dalles, Ore., on Thursday, October 24, 1996. She was born Sept. 18, 1913 in Robinson, Ind., the youngest of four children to Asa and Eva Lucille (Fields) Ashcroft. She grew up in Indianapolis, where she graduated from Tech High School in 1929. She married Raymon Hazen Parker on Sept. 2, 1947 in Arizona. They lived in California until moving mov-ing to Escalante in 1971. She was a member of First Christian Church, an accomplished pianist who enjoyed entertaining for senior groups and she liked to write poetry. She and her husband had been active in soaring. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Patrick Barry and granddaughter Cailin Barry, all of The Dalles; and her brother, Edgar Ashcroft of Zionsville, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray in May of 1980. An informal memorial service will be held at Escalante's Senior Citizen Dinner on Nov. 12.
