Show Joseph A. Fletcher Joseph Fletcher CANNONVILLE - Joseph Ariel Fletcher, 78, Cannonville, died Oct. 23, 1987, in a Panguitch hospital. He was born July 28, 1909, Cannonville, to Benjamin Joseph and Eliza Ellen Dutton Anderson Fletcher. He married Mandy Mangum, Sept. 14, 1935, Cannonville; later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School president, ward clerk, home teacher and full-time mission with his wife to northern California. He served as a member of the Cannonville Town Board. Survivors: wife, Cannonville; sons, daughters, Larry W., Orem; Mrs. Vernon (LaDona) Christensen, Marysvale; Mrs. Mark (Myrna) Christensen, Detroit, Mich.; Alma D., Cannonville; Mrs. Chad (Ramona) Moss, Cedar City; Joseph Danny, Panguitch; 34 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; five sisters. Funeral services were Saturday in the Cannonville LDS Ward chapel with Bishop D. Lamonte Twitchell, officiating. Larry W. Fletcher offered the family prayer and prelude music was by Marva Fletcher. Ella Merrell gave a tribute and speaker was J. Clele Fletcher with remarks by Bishop Twitchell. Music included vocal solo by Kenneth Goulding and selection by grandchildren. Interment was in the Cannonville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Alma D. Fletcher offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Delon Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher, Michael Fletcher, Leon Fletcher, Curtis Hansen and Alvin Christensen, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Christensen, Douglas Christensen, Robert Fletcher, Kendall Fletcher, Jeremy Moss, Daniel Fletcher, David Christensen, Robert Christensen, Richard Fletcher, Thomas Fletcher, Jacob Moss and Billy Joe Fletcher. |
