Show I Atom mnm&mm 1 Robert "Nick" Christensen ESCALANTE Our kind and precious father, grandfather, brother and true friend, Robert Emcron Christensen, age 81, was taken back to our Heavenly Father, April 26, 1994, after a courageous struggle in this life. He was born August 11; 1912, the second of twin boys, in Escalante, Utah to Lars Christen and Mary Isabclle Spencer Christensen. Chris-tensen. He married Lily Johnson on Aug. 15, 1935 in Junction, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 13, 1954. She died on Feb. 17, 1977. Robert was a family man first and always. He loved children, all children, everyone's children. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren grand-children and great-grandchildren. He had special attachments to his special little "caregivers" with whom he lived the last years of his life. They will miss him immensely. im-mensely. He was born and reared in Escalante and never lost his love for the BouldcrEscalantc country. Robert was a carpenter and a craftsman by trade. He helped to build many homes and churches. He served faithfully in the Primary for many years, loving all the chil dren he served. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, something he loved to do with his family. He is survived by three sons and three daughters and their spouses, Fern and Ken Jcwkes, Yvonne Williams, John and Carolyn Christensen, Chris-tensen, Carl and Launa Christensen, Michcal and Janet Christensen and Milissa and Jack Lyman; 31 grandchildren grand-children and 29 great-grandchildren (whom he dearly loved); brothers Lyoncl, Sam, Rolin, Louis, Norman and Larry and sister, Shiralce Pratt. He was preceded in death by wife Lily, son Robert, twin brother Lars Emerson and brothers, Mohr and Howard and sister, Julia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the Park LDS Ward, 495 East 5600 South, Murray. Friends may call Friday, April 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jcnkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray and on Saturday, one hour prior to services at the church. William Lester Heaps ESCALANTE, UT William Lester Heaps, 90, of Richfield, Utah, died on April 25, 1994 in Richfield. He was born on Oct. 24, 1903 in Escalante to Thomas Hebcr and Susanah Alvey Heaps. He married Tryisha Ann "Lcola" Woolscy on Dec. 8, 1926 in the Manti LDS Temple. She died on Dec. 3, 1962. Survivors include three sons and .three daughters and their spouses, Dar and Margaret Heaps, Huntington, Hunting-ton, Utah; Thclma and Royce Johnson, John-son, Richfield; Ann and Peter Dale-bout, Dale-bout, Mira Loma, Calif.; Tom and DclRita Heaps, Salina, Utah; Dixie and Terry Carter, Richfield and Larry Heaps, Benjamin, Utah; Evan Schow, Marlin Heaps and Millard Heaps, all deceased; 43 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 116 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; one grandchild and one great-grandchild deceased; two sisters, Jessie Nielsen, Bickncll, Utah and Afton King, Richfield; three brothers and five sisters, all deceased.
