Show (mm mmxmm) Rula Jane Spencer ESCALANTE Rula Jane Wells Spencer, 65, died at her home in Escalante Sept. 6, 1993, due to kidney failure. She was born February 14, 1928 in Joseph, Utah to Robert W. and Elizabeth Wilkinson Wells. She married Vernon Spencer in the St. George LDS Temple May 9, 1952. She was a perfectionist in all her assignments. Family, LDS Relief Society and genealogy were her great love. She and her husband were ordinance workers in the St. George LDS Temple. She was educated at Joseph Elementary, South Sevier High School, and at Brigham Young University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in elementary education. ed-ucation. She taught for two years at Ashman Elementary in Richfield and for 30 years in Escalante (supporting Vernon and his cows). Rula is the mother of two daughters: Analee and her husband Kent Robinson and Camille and her husband Ed Shakespear all residing in Escalante with their children, seven boys and Five girls. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. at the j . . , 1 I i i 1 Rula Spencer Escalante LDS Stake Center. Friends may call at the stake center on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12;30 p.m. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral directors, direc-tors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons, Richfield.
