Show AREA OBITUARIES Leonia Cameron Funeral services were held Sept. 13 for Leonia S. Cameron, 84, of Springville, who died Sept. 10, 1989, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo. She was born April 6, 1905, at Panguitch to James Mason and Mary Ellen Riding Sargent. She married Benjamin Cameron on January Jan-uary 28, 1921, in Panguitch, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died in September 1982. She was raised and received her early schooling in Panguitch. She moved to Springville in 1937 where she has resided since. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she had been Relief Society president, a Primary worker for over 60 years and a visiting teacher for over 65 years. She was an original ordinance worker in the Provo LDS Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary. She cooked for construction crews for many years; enjoyed cooking, candy making, and had quilted many quilts. She is survived by one son and two daughters, J. Elliot Cameron Provo; Mary C. Martindale, Alice R. Hcnrie, Panguitch; 10 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren. Bishop James Nance officiated at funeral services at the Springville 8lh-10di-23rd LDS Ward, where the family prayer was offered by J Richard Henric. Prelude and postludc music was provided by Maxinc Cameron, with special musical numbers by Don Hcrrin Kerry Lynn Hcrrin, Bruce Cameron' Carolyn Cameron, Ken Tutllc Lori J"111! Shirley Smith, Janet Woodficld, Mary Giles, Linda Cluff, and Sandra Boyer. Preston Cameron gave the invocation invo-cation and the benediction was by Michael Henric. A special tribute was paid by Bonnie Henric. Speakers Speak-ers were Max Thorn and J. Elliot Cameron and closing remarks were by Bishop Nance. Lowell V. Henric offered the dedicatory prayer at Springville Evergreen Ev-ergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers included in-cluded David Ted Martindale, Donald Don-ald Arthur Hcrrin, Preston Cameron Bruce Cameron, Michael Henric Vcc Hcnrie, Val Hcnrie, and Richard Hcnrie. |
