Show f -r -i ! " 1 : X ' 1 ' , t'i . " V. - .. J ' ' - Ida O. Shannon Ida Shannon Celebrates 90th PANGUITCH - Ida O. Shannon will celebrate her 90th birthday at the Wm. Owen Orton family reunion reun-ion to be held July 3 at the Panguitch Pan-guitch City Park. Ida was born June 24, 1909, to Wm. Owen and Rebecca P. Allphin Orton in Panguitch. She married the late Gloran K. Goulding in November No-vember of 1927, and later divorced. They had three children: Gloria (Laine)Sevy, Panguitch; Louise Crosby, Leavenworth, Kan.; and Joe (Lee) Goulding, Las Vegas, Nev. She has a step-daughter, Dawn K. Young, Augusta, Maine. She has 15 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Ida lived many years in Ogden, where she worked at Hill Air Force Base until her retirement in 1971. She married Melvin L. (Barney) Shannon on Aug. 30, 1985. They spend their summers in Panguitch and winters in St. George where they do volunteer work at the Hafen Senior Citizens Center. They both are active members of the LDS church. |
