Show TROPIC ELLA ADAIR Having birthday partids this past week were twins Kim and Kathy Ott for their 4th birthday; Kim Alvcy who was 4 on tho 14th; Vallan Ott had his on the Gth. The Better Homes Club met Thursday evening in the Home Ec room. Mrs. Nellie Mecham led an interesting discussion on quilt making and other handicrafts which she had on display. Mrs. Ella Adair showed a film. Hostesses were Mrs. Mabel Ott, Rcla Alvey, Janet PoUock; guests were Zclma Gordon and BerniccGoulding. Mrs. Wanda Shakespear is in the Panguitch hospital re-covering from surgery. The Ben Copes have had their daughters Zelma of Idaho and Adelc Riggs of Hatch as visitors this past week. Attending Conference in Salt Lake were the Malen Mechams, Shirley Haycock, Viva Mecham and the Reed Mer-rells. The Silas Munsons and the Melford Ahlstroms were in Richfield Friday; the Jack Grcenhaughs and Garth Le-Fevre were there Saturday. Several of the Tropic Elders and their partners enjoyed a social at Hcnricville on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch spent the weekend in Las Vegas. Nell Wilson is in Fillmore visiting with her father. Tho Douglas Stokers spent the weekend in Logan. Cedar City visitors were the Bert Milletts, Thelma Jol-ley, the Eldon Brinkerhoffs. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Richards attended funeral cervices in Kearns for his cousin last week; while up north thoy attended tho golden wedding for tho Arthur Hatch's. Mr. and Mrs. Ursel Ott spent tho weekend in Payson with their daughter Beth and family and attended tho Hatch reception. The Fred Shakespears are parents of a baby boy. v- Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dutton and tho Carlos Belong family were ylsltors at the Frances Shakespear heme. Several of our high school students are attending the U Nfconventlont Salt Lake. . ' |
