If there is anything going on no one seems to want to share the news they are making! Come on folks haven't grandma or Aunt Mary or Uncle Joe been in town to visit you lately? They may want their names in the paper even if you don't want yours in! Sarah Shurtz, Casper, Wyoming, came to town recently recent-ly to spend a long weekend with her mom, Helen Shurtz. She also enjoyed visiting with her sister, Susan Shurtz, and a number num-ber of other relatives and friends around town. She says her heart is not in Wyoming and she would love to move back to good old scenic Southern Utah before long. Bob and Mavis Munson just returned from a cruise down the Coast and into Mexico. They will leave for their LDS mission to Nauvoo, Illinois just days from now. Betty Alvey and Jerry Roundy recived word that their sister, Edna May Roundy Smith, passed away in Seattle.Washington, January 17, 2004. Edna's parents were Wallace and Ella Griffin V Roundy. Edna and her late husband, hus-band, James Smith, were married mar-ried for 62 years. She is survived sur-vived by Betty, Jerry and sister Wavie Siple; sons Elliott (Judy) Smith, Steven (Dianna) Smith, daughter Michelle Hergesheimer and four grandchildren. grand-children. Our condolences to the Roundy family. Our condolences to the Voyle Munson family. Voyle passed away at his home in Bountiful on January 22. The Munson family used to live here in Escalante, where Wade and Lori Beebe now live. Our condolences also to the family of Alice Ann Lyman, who passed away last week. On a happier note.. ..Stan and Marlene Stowe took their family and went on vacation to Hawaii. We wish them a safe trip and good weather. Deon and Arnold Alvey are still traveling back and forth to be with their daughter, Janeen Duncan of Loa. Janeen is in the hospital in St. George again recovering from a three hour surgery on her jaw. All this caused from infected tooth implants. The doctors are optimistic opti-mistic that they have finally gotten got-ten to the bottom of the infection and are hopeful for a speedy recovery now. |
