Show iropic iiv.j Lori Mecham and son, Hayes, took snowboarding lessons at Brian Head. Lori was asked by Hayes how come she couldn't get up and go again as fast as he could! The Pahreah Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting with June Shakespear giving giv-ing the history and Rebecca Wag-staff Wag-staff giving the lesson to those in attendance. Agnes Littlefield enjoyed having her daughter, Linda from California visit for a few days. The annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet was held recently and the attendance was good, food delicious, and fun was had by all. Ella Adair hosted the LDS adult Family Home Evening group. Gloria Hayden hosted a pizza party Friday evening for her friends at the Pizza Place. She was able to include Anna Marie Johnson, from the care center in Panguitch to join in their merriment for the evening. April Roberts, of Phoenix, visited visi-ted with Tracy and Moyle Johnson. Mitchell Littlefield is doing his student teaching at Bryce Valley High School and he and his wife, Jessica and baby are living with his parents, Marion and Catherine Littlefield. Lit-tlefield. Sunday brought Tropic LDS Ward Conference with High Priest Group Leader Sherrell Ott as the first speaker Bishop Scott Barton followed him and the concluding speaker was President Myron Cottam of Escalante Stake. Many other stake leaders were in attendance attend-ance at various meetings. Released from her LDS Church calling was Nellie Mecham, as food specialist, for the Relief Society. Margaret Shakespear was called to be family history consultant; Stan and Nellie Mecham, and Rick Bybee as Escalante Stake missionaries; mis-sionaries; and Bob Joe Ott was called as the Escalante LDS Stake Young Men's president with counselors Tyson Brinkerhoff and Jerry Pollock, and Sean Stewart as secretary. It's also that time of year when the cowboys make the time to gather cattle from the Winter ranges. The snow and mud may decelerate the process, however, the snow and rain storms are desired moisture for the dry, arid portions of Southern Utah. We hope also that along with the commencement of Spring comes the cleansing of the illnesses that have swooped our area. Get well everyone! Many of the Bryce Valley basketball fans attended the state , tournament held in St. George to cheer the boys and to have near heart attacks with such close games! |
