His dad had turned away only for a second. It itOY could happen to anyone. But Deeds is a 3 yr. old boy with Autism, periventricular leukomalacia and mild cerebral palsy. JD faces challenges of seizures, repetitive motion, communication barriers, social delays, anxiety and emotional breakdowns. He also wanders away and is unaware of dangers of traffic, bodies of water and strangers. • CAS ,...) The family has been raising funds for a "Dog for Deeds". This is an autism assistance We'll do a FREE Electrical System check and check your dog (a service dog) which will be trained to assist in the event of a seizure, stop repetitive "Here to Serve You" Alternator, Starter & Battery so motions and is trained in search and rescue in the event of wandering. Boy were we blessed with a lot of really wet white stuff. I know by the time this article gets out it may be too late, but on 2nd North and 150 West, there is a huge snow bunny, this is the best snowman I have every seen, how did they do it? Bring your camera it's a Kodak moment. Speaking of Kodak moments, check out the Quilt Walk Statue with all the snow, it really brings it to life. The Alton coal mine is shipping coal and are about two weeks a head of schedule. Three of their trucks got stuck in the snow on Saturday morning at 2 am crossing over Bear Valley road. They still need drivers, so if you are qualified give them a call. Greg Payne Utah Power guy got called to Circleville during the storm. A 7,000 volt power line had fallen across the roof of a school bus, which was parked at the driver's home. The wire burned a hole in the buses roof and went down to its tires. The tires caught fire and burned until the 50 watt fuse blew out, pretty scary. Hayli Shurtz, daughter of Micki Marshall Shurtz and Kay Shurtz, granddaughter of Don and Barbara Marshall and Great granddaughter of Eva Marshall, plays basketball for Alta High School - a 5-A high school in Sandy, Utah. Recently Hayli was highlighted in the Deseret News as PREP-OF-THE-WEEK on January 18, 2011 for her basketball skills. Her coach mentioned in the write-up that "She, Hayli, works so hard and that pushes other people to work really hard. She averages eight or nine assists; she just knows how to find people. She sees the floor well and she's an all-around really good defender. Basically she does a lot of things that don't get written up in the paper. She pushes herself just as hard off the court, maintaining a 4.0 and she is the starting catcher for the Alta girls softball team". Hayli is being awarded the "Academic All-State" award during half time of the 5-A girl's championship basketball game..! Gai Wilcock Moore is celebrating her 90th birthday on March 12th. An open house is planned in Saint George; her address is 412 East 650 South St. George. It starts at 11:00 o'clock. "Come on down"! During the Quilt Walk, there will be something for the men on Saturday. There will be the tractor parade, which gets bigger every year. Afterwards is the quilt walk race and at 4:00 pm there is going to be a tractor pull, down at the fair grounds at the out door arena. Hopefully, there will be at least 16 tractors here from St. George to take part in this competition. These are not just your old farm tractors, but supped up giants and they pull this really heavy weight, which can be adjusted to make the resistance even heavier. This is a big time sport and may attract other tractors from throughout the state. Another exciting show piece at the Quilt Walk Festival will be the "Supper" quilt.
