Show Pink Ladies elect officers Our Town ri By STELLA jT DAY Although I am not a timid person, seldom take chances with the weather. 1 had my first experience with being in a blizzard at night this week. s Two of people had gone to Richfield last Wednesday to attend workshops sponsored by the Utah Endowments for the Humanities. The workshop was held in the theater of the New Tech School. It was a balmy day and Richfield had not one bit of snow on the ground. We were kept busy with exceptionally programs which were presented by the six leaders from the state organization. We were asked to outline our present organization and discuss ways of improving our present committees and the types of programs which we can bring into the different communities. The whole concept is geared to getting programs for the rural areas which promote the different arts. How can we get audiences as interested in the arts as they are in sports programs? We were asked to make an outline of what we Fernando Del Toro and had accomplished so far and what our plans are for the future. As we went in to dinner, we were told not to sit with our own group, but to get with other delegates and discuss our problems, with the idea of each group coming up with ideas Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd which would be of value to the whole group later Christensen arc in the program. pleased to announce We had a delicious dinner served, in a special the forthcoming mardining room with no outside windows, and we riage of their daughter, had talked with many delegates and dis- Sharon, to Fernando cussed many problems and now were ready to Del Toro. return to the school and finish the workshop. Most of the other delegates were from around Richfield and were not worried about how they were to get home. We went back to the school and decided not to stay for the solution to our problems. We told the state people they could go over our notes and send us their conclusions. The F.ast Millard We picked up our belongings and started for Fine Arts Guild BirthFillmore.
