The program and dance given by the school Friday were both successful. success-ful. The program was in three divisions: first, choruses from Robin Hood by the joys' and girte' glee clubs; second, popular song3 sung in costume and .llustrated by the girls of the schools; .hird, the Christmas program, consisting con-sisting of reading, short plays and carols. The Misses Seeley and Mes-lames Mes-lames R. R. Wilkins and W. R. Mof-Itt Mof-Itt sang the solos. Mrs. R. R. Wil-. Maud Atwood was surprised Saturday Sat-urday evening by Mr. and Mrs. Al McAffee, just returning from a visr to Charleston, Heber and Provo. They report a very pleasant time. What! They expect to arrive in Hanna Monday. The boys of the higher grades of the Stockmore school gave a "Pea- nut Bust" in school "Friday.- All of the students as well as Mr. Wilcken the teacher, had all the nuts they could eat. Fine, boys! :We are won dering when the girls will give us a surprise. Mae Wilcken, teacher of the first . intermediate class of the Redcliff ward Sunday school, presented Wil-ber Wil-ber Atwood and Grace Giles with a , beautiful book each for a Christmas present for their attendance and preparedness pre-paredness in their class during the year. Each member of the class also al-so was presented with a Christmas and New Years card by the two taech-ers, taech-ers, Ada Rhoades and Mae Wilcken. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Wilcken were Tabiona visi'or3 Saturday. They have been invited to be the guests at the home of Mrs. Ross Crandall for Christmas. Wm. G. Michie was among the Hanna people attending the confer ence at Boneta.' The sacrament meeting Sunday o? the Redcliff ward was quite well attended, at-tended, al' hough none of the bis hopric were present. Thomas Rhoades Rhoa-des took charge of the services. Orrin and Dan Harwood are home from Provo, where they have been attending school. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Clement have moved to their new home in Duchesne. Du-chesne. We. wish them the best of luck. Everett Nelson was the only speaker and he certainly gave a very good and powerful sermon. o Mountain Home Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Rowley entertained enter-tained Monday in honor of Mrs. Rowley's Row-ley's birthday. A large crowd enjoyed en-joyed games and refreshments. Tuesday evening a lecture and program were given ' in the school building. An international Harves-" Harves-" ter chart was illustrated, supplementing supplemen-ting Mr. Young's lecture on "Alfalfa on every Farm". Then Mrs. Seeley and Mrs. W. R. Moffitt gave a musical musi-cal program. Only a few farmers were present, but we hope that every Our school teachers Mr. and Mrs Arthur Goodrich and Mrs. Floyd Case, will spend the holidays with relatives and friends in Mt. Emmons The Relief society officers have been visiting the ward during the week. On Christmas day a dance will be given in the afternoon for the chil dren and one in the evening for the adults. Arley and Burtice Sorenson werp in Knight's camp Friday with a load of posts. Mrs. Orrin Clement was the gues of Mrs. H. P. Ottosen on Sunday, Miss Clara Clement visited Katie Hill at the Thilo home on Sunday. |
