Show HAROLD CRANE, UTAH GAME CHIEF, DIES Director Harold S. Crane died Thursday, January 6, in a Salt Lake City hospital. He had served the people of Utah and the Nation in many capacities during the 18 years he had been with the Utah Department of Fish and Game. During his tenure with the Department, he worked as a game biologist, Chief of Game Management, Department Director, Di-rector, Chairman of the Utah Board of Big Game Control, and Secretary to the Fish and Game Commission. He was an internationally known figure in the field of conservation, held many high offices in a number of organizations organ-izations concerned with the State's and Nation's natural resources, re-sources, and received many honors hon-ors for his work in this chosen field. , . Among the many offices he held was the Presidency of the - Western Association of Game and Fish Commissioners, the 1st vice-president of the Inter-1 Inter-1 national Association of Game, Fish and Conservation Commis-1 Commis-1 sioners, Chairman of the Pacific Flyway Council, Secretary and Treasurer of the Colorado River Wildlife Council, and chairman of the Utah State Recreation Planning Committee.
