The Community church now has two complete Sunday schools functioning as well as the two complete young peoples societies, the Juniors meet in the basement and the Seniors in the auditorium with their complete staff of officers and teachers. The Daily Vacation Bible school was opened the past Monday morning, with the opening exercises in the auditorium. The various classes then go to the basement for their hand work and lessons. The school opened with over one hundred present and each day the number has increased, with one hundred and fifty present on Wednesday. The teaching staff is as follows: Beginners, Mrs. Robert Bowen and Mrs. Mark Predovich; primary,' Mrs. Donna Finley and Miss Joy Ann Coggins; Juniors, Mrs. Ray Gras and Mr. Garfield Powell, Mrs. Bill Flynn and Mr. Baxton Powell; Intermediate, Rev. Johnson, Secretary Mrs. Mark Tratos; general advisor, Mrs. K. A. Johnson, helpers, Miss Barbara Carpenter, Miss Ida Misner, Miss Norma Niel and Miss Betty Blevins. Light refreshments are being served to the beginners about 10:30 a.m. each morning. This seems to give them new energy. Each group is doing special hand work, such as leather work and etc. Coast Guard Enlistments OpeN Enlistment openings in the Coast Guard were revealed today by the 12th Coast Guard District Public Information office in San Francisco.
