Catholic Mission Elsenborn Replies to Clothing Drive Letter To Be Held The mayor of Elsenborn, Belgium replied to the letter that the chairman, of the Rotary clothing drive, Mr. Gerald Galbreath, wrote to him in December. As everyone knows, the Rotary Club had chosen Elsenborn, Belgium as the town to which they would send the clothing to. It was hoped at the time that the school children could write to the children of Elsenborn and learn from them just how the other side of the world lives. From the response of the mayors letter it seem$ highly probable that they too will be very glad to keep in touch with us. The letter is as follows: during the terrible offensive was also hidden a true heart of a father, who went back to his own family, friends and acquaintances, to tell them of Our sufferings, with such ardour, and conviction, that they all united and according to their means helped to alleviate the distress of our children. Our best wishes, Mr. Galbreath, and respectfully we bow our heads to you and to all who have contributed to your charitable work; we ask God to bless you all and to reward you a hundred fold for what you have done for our little ones. We shall advise you of the arrival of the goods; we shall explain the manner of distribution, and inform you vof the joy they caused in the PROVINCE DE LIEGE hearts of your proteges. We should be happy to receive a photograph ELSENBORN, BELGIUM of our benefactor; if possible in great size so we JANUARY 7, 1948 could display it in our school or in our city hall.
