At this time Cedar City has possession of the ax, and is a two touchdown favorite to retain it. s for The probable starting the two teams are: line-up- f Meet Rams Saturday The Dixie High School Flyers will meet the Parowan Rams in the first league game of the season in the Dixie Sun Bowl Saturday, September 27. Game time is 8 p. m. The Flyers, coached by Walter Brooks and Glen Hardy, will be out f' to retain the state championship ? v ' which they won last year by de1 feating Millard High School. Dixie Flyers vs. Parowan Rams . This averages out with the CSU boys having a 196 lb. line average to Dixies 189, but the Dixie backs are slightly heavier with a 168 lb. average to CSUs 164. Coach Sarkis Arslanian with a e loss record against three CSU during his three year reign at Dixie hopes to break the deadlock in favor of Dixie but admits that the Rebels have got a tough Bronco team to ride. Cheerleaders Elected Selected at Assembly win-thre- Selected in assembly this week at Dixie High School were cheerleaders to direct the Pep Club activities at the school for the coming year. Chosen to represent the juniors and seniors were Miss Judy McMullin of Leeds, Miss Penny of Santa Clara, and Miss Pat Terry formerly from Enterprise. Miss Ethyl Lynn Sorensen of St. conducted the tryouts George, Ethyl Lynn is the hold over member from last year. Under the direction of Miss Myma Hunsaker, head of Womens Physical Education Department, competitive tryouts were held as a part of the weekly assembly. After tryouts, balloting was completed by the assembled students. With football season already under way, the new cheerleaders are making extensive plans for the coming games.
