When reading the justification keep in mind that the salary for a VN GS-- 6 is approximately $1.(X) a day. With rice costing from .43 to .50 a day, most of these poor working people with from five to ten to support are in desperate straits. When they say they are liccause sick, you can believe it they need their jolis. When I arrived at Building to fix it, I found that the rains had dislodged a large number of tile from the roof. So I rigged up a lieam with a pulley at the top of the building and hoisted up a couple of liarrels full of tile. When I fixed the tniilding, there was a lot of tile left over. I hoisted the barrel liack up again and secured the line at the bottom, and then went up and filled the barrel with the extra tile. Then I went down to the Iwttoin and cast off the line 12- - Ounce Pkg. 7 Cans 8 Cans Says GS-- 6 Unfortunately, the barrel of tile was heavier than I was, and before I knew what was happening, the liarrel started down jerking me off the ground. I decided to hang on, and halfway up I met the liarrel coining down and received a severe blow on the shoulder. I then continued to the top, lunging my head against the beam and getting my fingers jammed in the pulley. When the barrel hit the ground, it burst its liottom-allowi- ng all the tile to spill out. I was now heavier than the lur-re- l, and so started down again at high speed. Halfway down I met the lur-rcoming up and relieved severe injuries to my shins. When I hit the ground, I landed on the tile getting several painful cuts from the sharp edges. At this point, I must have lost my presence of mind, because I let go of the line. The barrel then came down, giving me another heavy blow on the head and putting me in the hospital. I respectfully request sick JUNE IS DAIRY MONTH Lb. Size 24-O- z. 0O Kroft Midget Bottle 80z.
