The extra point attempt was blocked by an alert Mustang defease. Cancellation of the game was forced at half-tim- e by a city-wid- e power failure. The post league will be sponsored by the Sports and Athletic Training Branch of Recreation Services Division. The Deseret Sampler, Friday, Sept. 13, 1974 The intramural flag football season for 1974 will begin Tuesday, Sept. 17, the ation Services Division has announced. A double round robin schedule will lie played. Carnes will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The regular season will end Nov. 5 and will be followed by the championship playoffs. Official Dugway flag footfall rules will govern play. Seven-man flag football will be played under these rules. Official rosters of teams that are entered must be submitted on DA Form 2496 and must include at least 15 players but not more than 20 players. Exhibition games and team clinics were held this week. 1974-7- Laddie Paul of Murray, who works at Dugway in the Protective Branch of Test Division, Test Operations Directorate, holds a Canadian muskie that he landed on a recent fishing trip in Canada. With Paul is his nephew, Ken Bauch of Lorain, Ohio. For the second year in a row, the Scouts conducted a cleanup project at the popular recreation area last week. This week they joined with officials of Tooele County, which owns the park, in an appeal to all users for their cooperation in heloping to keep the park clean. TWELVE MEMBERS of Troop 481, sponsored by the Dugway LDS Ward, and three adult leaders participated in the cleanup project After gathering up all the trash and garbage that littered the area, they hauled off 20 barrels of trash. After the work was done, the Scouts held a weiner and marshmallow roast in the park. Leaders of the group were Scoutmaster Wendell White, Assistant Scoutmaster Neil Peterson and Jim Turner. Members of the troop participating in the project were Mark Antry, Greg Brown, Jay Turner, Rex Griffiths, Jeff Keetch, Ed Whiting, Curtis Larsen, John McAllister, Keith Hays, Ken Ellis, Greg Jenkins and Gordon Bell. Clover Creek Picnic Area formerly was owned by Orson Johnson of Clover, who is employed at Dugway in the Test Division, Test Operations Directorate. Johnson deeded the park to. Tooele County a number of years agp, to be used as a picnic area for all citizens of the county and the general public. Since the county does not have funds nor personnel with which to maintain the park, its maintenance has depended on users and volunteer groups. After it was deeded to the county, members of the Dugway American Legion post built picnic tables and other facilities in the park.
