Gutwillig, chairman of the Presidents Citizens Advisory Council on the Status of Women, will be the keynote speaker for the luncheon meeting September 20, during the Federal Women's Week Symposium scheduled at Dugway during the week of Sept. Joining Ms. Cutwillig on the weeks agenda will be Betty Furey, AMCs Federal Womens Program coordinator; Dr. Ramona Adams, dean of Student Affairs at the University of Utah; and Shauna Adix, Womens Resource Center director at the University of Utah. 16-2- 0. Ms. Jacqueline G. Gutwillig was appointed in August 1969 as chairman of the Presidents Citizens Advisory Council on the Status of Women. The Council is responsible to assure effective and continuing leadership in advancing the status of women. It serves as a primary means for suggestions and actions with private institutions, organizations and individuals working for improvement of conditions of special interest to women. The Council advises, assists, and recommends action for legislation and other suitable action. Ms. Gutwillig served as a Army officer for 22 years, retiring at the rank of Lt. Mike Magann Is Named For Honors Publication PTA Meets Sept. 23rd At School There will lie a general PTA meeting for both tne high school and elementary school on Monday evening, September 23, at the elementary school. The meeting will begin at e' 7 p.m. in the multi-purpos- area erf the elementary school Teachers for both the elementary school and the high school will be introduced at this meeting. Following the meeting in the room, parents will be able to visit the classrooms and meet the teachers and have an opportunity, to speak with them. The classroom visit session will be held in three multi-purpo- se periods, to allow parents with more than one child in school an opportunity to visit at least three classrooms. This meeting will begin the PTA drive, and all parents are encouraged to attend. Students from 20,000 public, private and parochial high schools in the nation are recognized each year by Whos Who Among American High School Students. Less than three percent of the junior and senior class members meet the qualifications necessary to be awarded this recognition. Mike is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Magann of Dugway. His father, Neil, is employed in the Geodesy Branch of Test Division, Test Operations Directorate. He was elected as president of the student body for the current year. He was a member of the football and basketball teams last year. MIKE MAGANN Shauna Adix is presently the director of the 'Womens Resource Center at the University of Utah and is again joining the slate of speakers for the Womens Week program. IN ADDITION to her job at the Resource Center, Ms. Adix is also an assistant professor in the graduate school of Social Work at the university, a member of the board of directors of Behavioral Science Consultants, a playwright of childrens plays, and a human relations trsuning consultant. Ms. Adix obtained her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Utah in the fie'd of Sociology. She earned her masters from Ohio University, majoring in Human Relations. SHE IS presently a member of the Junior League of Salt Lake Gty, the National Association of Women Deans and Counselors and the American of Association University Women. She received a standing ovation last year for her speech entitled Breaking the Sexual Barrier A .New Look at Old Stereotypes, and Dr. Adams obtained her bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Social Institutions, her masters degree from the University of Utah in Social Work and her PhD in Educational Psychology, also from the University of Utah.
