Show The unanimity with which the Farmers' Institute Bill pakscd the Legislature last week was a source of much satisfaction to those having the Institute work in charge. The Bill was introduced by Representative Representa-tive Thompson of Millard County, received the unanimous support or the committee and when it reached the House, Representatives from all over the house stood upon their feet and told of the excellent work done by the Extension Department. The Bill calls for an increase in the appropriation ap-propriation for this work, from $1,500 lo $5,000 per annum. Upon its roll-call roll-call in the House it received the vote of every member present. The Bill was immediately sent to the Senate, referred to the Committee on Education, Edu-cation, and there received the unanimous un-animous support of all the members of that committee. On Saturday it passed the Senate by a practically unanimous vote. It is a well recognized fact that the Extension Department -of the Agricultural College is attracting favorable fav-orable attention of the people throughout the state. .n |
