Show THE MENDELIAN ' PRINCIPLES. Mendel did most of his work with the pen. He based his conclusions on outward visible characters. .His law is the law of averages or the law of probability. He takes a large number of individuals and says the average will be so and so. He believed in the purity of the gcrnr cells so tlmt when like mated with like mating nerve was produced, produc-ed, but when unlike mated, individuals were formed, some like each parent and some like neither. If one of the parent's character predominate in the hybrid, this is called the dominant character and that which is not shown, is the recessive. If we call "A" the dominant character char-acter and "a" the recessive character - - - - " |
