Show HORTICULTURAL INFORMlA- TION. In Answer to Warren Longhurst, Old Mexico. Saw dust would undoubtedly make a good mulch on the soil but as regards re-gards the turpentine which might be contained therein and its influence on the roots will say that I am totally uninformed. If it were tried on -a small scale and no bad results were found then it could be used more extensively ex-tensively later. t If it would work into the soil without injury to the trees it would ultimately result in the addition of -considerable humus and probably benefit the physical condition condi-tion to considerable extent. However, How-ever, my suggestion is that you try it on a very limited area until you know what the chance of injury is. ROBT. S. NORTIIRUP. |
