This latest award is just one of many honors Joe has been given. Among his other achievements, he has been given the United States Achievement Academy National Award in foreign language (French), high honor roll. NASA finishes basic Navy Seaman Recruit William H. Connelly, son of Bobbie L. Connelly of 540 W. 1500 N., Layton, has completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command, (ireat Lakes, 11. During Connelly's eight-wee- k training cycle, he studied general military subjects designed to prepare him for further academic and training in one of the Navy's 85 basic fields. Connelly's studies included seamanship, close order drill. Naval history and first aid. Persnnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in physical education and hygiene. He joined the Navy in July 1986.
