In Parade Goes To DHHS - KAYSVILLE The Davis High Chapter of the National Honor Society recently won second place with their float entry in the Homecoming Parade. The theme of the float was "Winning, a Dart Tradition. Eden Cook, float chairman and social vice president, designed the prize winning float. i OFFICERS for the coming year are Mike Trcmea, president; Kyle Tippetts, vice president; Keith Hunsaker, secretary; John Timothy, treasurer; Eden Cook, social vice president. The chapter cooperates with the Davis County Council on Aging by serving at their monthly dinners held at the St. Mark's Gardens in Kaysville. Each month several girls from the Honor Society are excused from class to perform this public service. i ! 7TH GRADE Kaysville Junior High schools 7th grade officers are: John Rhodes, left, president; Jon Turner, secretary and Sam Adams, vice president. PRESIDENT Jon Rhodes plans the year to be a success, and he is well prepared to represent the 7th grade. Sam Adams, vice president, wants to do something for people and is willing to give it his best shbt. Jon Turner, secretary, wants ONLY STUDENTS with a GPA of 3.5 or better are invited to join the Society. Incoming sophomores must post a 3.5 or better for the first nine weeks grades before they are eligible for membership. ' Advisors for the Society are Ken to accomplish leadership to give the 7th grade what they need. Eric VanDyke, 9th grade president, influenced Rhodes to run, but Jon did have past experience in Secretary Jon Turner was influenced by his brother, Chuck. Chuck thought that I could do a good job. So far Jon has done a terrific job. I think it will be a good, fun experience. Gavin Duckworth helped a great deal. Jon is thankful for all his hard work. elementary school as president. Quinn Major, campaign manager for Jon, did a super job and his work was greatly appreciated. SAM ADAMS, vice president, had many people push him into running, but especially his mom. His mother kept nagging him to run, so finally he did and look where he is now. Jon Rhodes was his campaign manager.
