ANDREW E. DAVIS Andrew E. Davis, 76, of 185 H. S., Clearfield, died Sunday, March 3, 1985 at his home following an extended illness. 1100 HE WAS born April 9. 1908 in Ouray, Colo., a son of Leu is S. and Ollie Berry Davis. He married Helen M. Angelovic HE WAS a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and was employed by the Union Pacific, the American T. and T., retiring from the Utah Power and Light Co. Surviving are his widow, two sons, Andiew A. Davis, PatiiekO. Davis, all oi Clearfield; two sisteis, Mrs. Ralph (Juanita) Hadfield, Mrs. Ray (Elva) Woodard, both of Salt Lake City. HE WAS preceded in death by a son and a daughter. Mass of the Resurrection was held Wednesday, March 6 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Mike Kallock officiating. INTERMENT was in the Clearfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors Lindquists Clearfield Mortuary. Ivan Merlin Adams Ivan Merlin Adams, 72, of Fort Smith, Ark., former resident of Layton, died Tuesday. Feb. 26. 1985 at Spaiks Hospital in Fort Smith of cardiac arrest. HE WAS born Oct. 18, 1912 in Layton, a son of Merlin W. and Vera Alice Morgan Adams. He married Ina Louise Kunz on March 25, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 17, 1958. He married Camilla Weigel Durham on July 23, 1965 in Layton. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. HE ATTENDED Davis County schools and graduated from Davis High School. He attended Utah State University two years. He was a farmer for many years. He served as watermaster and president of the Holmes Creek Irrigation Co. In 1952 he began working for Jed Call at the American Oil in Layton. He then worked for Fields Oil Co. in Ogden until he moved to Fort Smith, Ark., 15 years ago. HE PLAYED baseball tor Layton City and Davis County in the late 40s and early 50s. He was a member of the Layton 5th LDS Ward where he served as a wark clerk and also served a stake mission. He had been a genealogy worker, MIA president, Sunday School teacher and home teacher. He was also a High Priest in the Fort Smith, Ark. ward. SURVIVING are his widow of Fort Smith; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Darrell (Maude) Harper, Sunset; Mrs. Ronald (Jolene) Christensen, Milton; Merlin D. Adams, Layton; nine grandchildren and two Also three stepsons and one stepdaughter, Clarence F. Durham Jr., Fort Smith, Ark.; Victor H. Durham, Grand Canyon, Ariz.; Timothy Durham, Walls, Miss.; Mrs. Danny (Rebecca) Brasher, Layton; eight step grandchildren. ALSO surviving are two brothers, Dale W. Adams and Ray E. Adams, both of Layton. He was preceded in death by one brother. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. BISHOP Richard T. Maughan of the Layton 16th Ward conducted the services on March 4. Adamswood Road, Layton, died Saturday, March 2, 1985 at the Humana Hospital Davis Noith of causes incident to age. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 6 at the Lind- quists Kaysville Mortuary Chapel for Lloyd Willard (Tink) Berger of 1360 E. 700 N., Fruit Heights, who died March 3, 1985 at the home Mrs. David (Kathy) Horne, in Fruit Heights of heart failure. of-nie- SHE WAS born Oct. 9, 1901 in Layton, the daughter of John William and Lucy I. Bennett Moigan. She married Alma A. Garbett on Aug. 28, 1928 in Farmington. He died Apiil 1, 1978. g resident of SHE WAS a Layton. She was educated in Layton and ce, MR, BERGER was born Sept. 13, 1899 at Willow Lake, South Dakota, a son of Frank William and Helen Wolfe Berger. He married Mary Ellen Bennett April 25, 1947 in Elko, Nev. She died Sept. 13, life-lon- School. SHE WAS an active member of the ay ton LDS 5th Ward, where she served in the Relief Society. He had lived in Kaysville the past 38 years. HE IS survived by a brother Fred Berger of North Hollywood, Calif, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were con- ducted by Bishop David C. WHITE was born March 12, 1909 in Kingmont, West Virginia, a daughter of Joseph William teacher. Surviving are her husband of Kaysv ille, one brother and one sister, William L. King of West Valley City and Mrs. Leland (Doris) Colemere, Fruit Heights. SHE LIVED in Kingmont, West Virginia for 11 years. Salt Lake City for eight years and had resided in Kaysville for 57 years.
