NORTH DAVIS LEADER, FEBRUARY 25. 1982 VIS Mrs. Norene Halliday is convalescing at home after treatment in the Davis North Kaysville News By NORMA PREECE 544-875- 1 Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hansen entertained at a brunch Saturday morning for their daughter, Sandy Treadwell, and ten members of the staff and players of the Avon Future Circuit. They were in Utah for a week to play in the tennis tournament in Ogden. Miss Treadwell is a member of the staff. Val Weaver has been visiting his mother Mrs. Carol Weaver for a few days. Val and his family reside at Port Orchard, Wash. He is senior chief in the U.S. Navy stationed at Bremerton, Wash. Val will leave March 8 for a years assignment in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean with the Navy. His family will remain in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bizzell and two daughters left for Germany where he will be stationed for the next three years with the U.S. Air Force. Medical Center. Michael Kemp, who is employed at Big Springs Lodge, Island Park, Ida., spent the weekend with his parents, Clyde and Jane Kemp and family. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bitter and family of Orem were Sunday visitors of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bitter. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Argyle were Mr. and Rochester, Wise. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. William R. Perkins. Mrs. Ora Campbell visited in Smithfield with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Campbell. She was on hand for Mrs. Campbells birthday anniversary on Feb. 11. Harvey have been appointed directors of the Heritage House along with the Layton board members. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meacham was her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wettstein of Ontario, Oreg. Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan of Fruit Heights are excited over the arrival of a daughter, Mariah Beth, born to them Feb. 11 at the Davis North Medical Center. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oi. Mrs. Forest Barker and Mrs. Carol Collett attended the directors meeting in Mrs. Robert Baumgart of Layton on Tuesday evening at the Heritage House Museum. Collett, Mrs. Gail Knowlton and Mrs. Ivy Piano Recital Planned Kaysville Clubs Mrs. Ann Marcusen entertained the Pony Express Camp of Daughter of Utah Pioneers e at her home. Culli-mor- Members of the Rotary Anns met Friday, Feb. 19 at the Heidelberg Restaurant at the Rock Farm in Farmington for their regular luncheon meeting. Following the luncheon the group visited the David Merrill Art Galley in Farmington. Mrs. Thora Hough, president, was in charge. Mrs. Vera Liston will be hostess to the Bay View Club at her home on Wednesday, March 3. Mrs. Noleen Bennett will give the program, the book titles Or Adams by the noted Dr. R. The pieces she will be playing are "Anastasia by Newman. "Impromptu by Schubert. "Reflets Dans Leau" by Debussey, "Danse" by Debussey, "Prelude in A Minor" and "Concerto I" by Beethoven. Mission, np Celebrates 50th Mr. and Mrs. Thayne W. Corbridge of 3844 West Gentile St., Layton, observed their golden wedding date Feb. 3, 1982. MR. CORBRIDGE was bom in Smithfield, Ut. but has made his home in Layton most ofhislife. He has been in county government the past several years and was assistant Davis County assessor for some eight years, and Davis County assessor for eight years. He engaged in farming and in dairy operation during his early life. He has been active in the Layton Second Ward having served as ward clerk on two different occasions; served on a stake mission; and was an assistant scoutmaster as well as serving in numerous other positions. MRS. CORBRIDGE w as the former Sarah Parker and was born in Wellsville, Ut. She moved to Layton with her family when she was 14 years old. She too has been active in different LDS Church positions. She served in the presidency of the MIA and was a member of the ward Primary organization and Junior Sunday School. Both have been members of their ward choirs most of their lives and presently work as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have filled a stake mission as well. THEIR CHILDREN, Mrs. Jay (Karen) Thurgood of Meri-dia- Ida.; Mrs. William (Orell) Bindrup of Layton; Mrs. Brent (Letha) Ogzewalla of Centerville, and Vern P. Corbridge of Meridian, Idaho, will honor their parents with an open house on Feb. 27, 8 p.m., at the Layton Second Ward Cultural Hall, 2120 West Gentile St. Layton. They extend an invitation to all friends and associates to visit with them on this special day.
