Show WEEKLY REFLEX-DAV- NEWS JOURNAL, OCTOBER 6, 1977 IS Basketball Set For Recreation By DAVE W1GHAM Although were still in the middle o football season the recreational departments of both the Bountiful City office and the Davis County office note that the basketball season is approaching in a hurry. the case last year the county department will offer a league which is open for anyone, including college lettermen which is called the AS WAS A League. This league plays their games on Monday nights in Bountiful High gymnasium, and sometimes up to Hill Air Force Base. This has been the top league, for competition, over the past several years. Several of the old teams have expressed that they will not enter the league again this season, so some openings are available. THE CITY of Bountiful last year offered another league for those teams who wanted to play without college lettermen in the league. This was called the B League and will be offered once again this year. Anyone is eligible for the B League. The A League players have to live or work in the county boundaries. Admission is $1 for spectators and $3 per class for entrants. Open Horse Show means all breeds of horses compete in each class of competition. There will be 16 classes in all with many novice (amateur) classes. REFRESHMENTS and lunch will be available at the show. Gary Taylor, Coliseum manager, has kindly donated the Coliseum for the show.
