The tall Iront doors of glass and metal resemble the architectual design of the original doors. A wide stairway to the basement was added with all classrooms repainted and the restrooms refurbished. The total building now contains 26 classrooms. An inside look at the Kaysville Tabernacle shows the beautitul chapel. INSIDE LOOK THIS IS the third addition and remodeling of the building. The first was completed in 1952, the second in 1973, and again in 19X1. The building has a unique history. In the year 1914 it contained 18 rooms, a baptismal font, was steam heated and had electric lighting and sanitary arrangements. The first donation for the building was $5,000 made by John R. ANSWI RS WILLIAM ALLEN of Kaysville was employed as the architect. John G. Ellis of Ogden was the general contractor and the heating and plumbing was done by W.J. Wright Corp. of Salt Lake City. Lambert Blamires was appointed superintendent of construction. The cornerstone was laid by Bishop Henry H. Blood July 24. 1912 and the general contractor completed his work and turned over the building to the committee Feb. 16, 1914. The dedication program was held May 24, 1914 at 2 p.m. with Pres. THE DAVIS County Commission last week approved the names of Monica Newsome. a North Davis Jr. High teacher, and R. Keith Higgen-soa Salt Lake civil engineer to serve on the health board. The two residents were recommended as possible candidates at an Aug. 4th board of health meeting.
