She moved to Colorado with her parents while her father filled a mission in the area. The family then moved to New Mexico to establish a settlement on the Chalma River, She attended schools in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and also in Colonial Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico where they lived for several years. Both have been active in the LDS Church. Lloyd has served as Bishop of the Farmington First Ward and as a member of the Davis Stake High Council.
