During Scott Layden's tenure with the Jazz, first as an assistant coach and now as director of basketball operations, Mr. Layden has earned a reputation as a keen scout and judge of basketball talent and has established himself as a valuable asset to the Utah Jazz. Scott was named to his current position in the summer of 1992 and is the key contact in the Jazz office in all player personnel decisions and trade discussions. Scott and his wife, Marsha, are the parents of three daughters and reside in Salt Lake City. They are both active in local civic and charity events and Scott serves on the boards of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Friends of Holy Cross Foundation and the Salt Lake Performing Arts Coalition.
