Show Celebrates 80th ' i l i i . I I MAEB. ROSE The children of Mae B. (Mrs. Donald E.) Rose are holding an open house on Friday, Fri-day, June 20 to honor her on her 80th birthday, at her home, 1240 South Westwood Road, Bountiful, between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. In case of inclement incle-ment weather the open house will be at the Bountiful 14th Ward at 1500 South 600 East. All are invited. No gifts please. MRS. ROSE has sbeen ac tive in community and church activities all of her life. She served as president of the Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers from 1952 through 1955. She also served as a national na-tional board member of the PTA. Other community positions included board member of the Utah Mental Health Association, Associa-tion, delegate of President Eisenhower's White House Conference in. Washington, D.C., president of South Davis Area of the Community Welfare Wel-fare Council, board member of South Davis Community Services Ser-vices Council, coordinator of Davis County's Utah Committee Commit-tee on Children and Youth. ALSO SERVED on the Un ited Fund board of directors, and a member of the following state committees: Nutrition Council, Intermountain Radio and TV Council, Women's Legislative Council, Committee Commit-tee on Industrial and Employment Employ-ment Planning, and Utah's Safety Council. Mrs. Rose has held many positions in her church. Her last assignment was serving on the Bountiful South Stake Relief Re-lief Society Board. She has been a popular speaker at many church groups describ ing the importance of keeping family histories. SHE HAS received recognition recogni-tion from many sources over the years. Some of the recognitions recogni-tions include Honorary Golden Gol-den Gleaner award from South Davis Stake, Woman of the Year for 1963 by Davis County's Coun-ty's Beta Sigma Phi six chapters, chap-ters, oscar from the National Foundation of Polio, life membership mem-bership and pins from the Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers, and Davis County Mother of the Year award for 1964. |
