Show tLZ Viewmont, Davis runners will race on Saturday The DartViking Challenge 5000 meter Road Race sponsored by the Davis and Viewmont Cross Country teams will be held Aug. 26 at Farmington Elementary (50 West 200 South). Runners should pick up numbers from 7 - 7:45 a.m. The race beings at 8 a.m. The top three male and female finishers from each decade of graduation will receive custom medals. Top overall male and female will receive trophies. A team award will go to the school with the lowest score which will include eight scores: top five places from current team, top two graduates from the 90s, and top finisher from the 80s or earlier. Cost is $10 if registration is received by Aug. 19 and $12 thereafter. $2 registration fee is is desired, or if none not are left. Workshop planned for Outdoor women Utah will be hosting its first "Becoming an Outdoors-Woma- n 1995 at workshop Sept. Camp Kiesel in Huntsville. The three-da- y workshop is an outdoor skills clinic primarily for women. The program, while open to anyone 18 years of age and older, is designed to give women the opportunity to learn skills related to hunting, angling and outdoor recreation in an environment where they can be comfortable, have fun and enjoy the camaraderie of outdoor women. 0, Utahs workshop includes classes in: Introduction to Firearms and Firearm Safety, Basic Map & Compass, Basic Fishing, Wildlife Identification. Outdoor Photography, Game Bird & Waterfowl Identification, Beginning Archery, Campfire Cooking, Field Care & Wild Game Cooking, Beginning Fly Fishing, Survival Skills, and Game Calling.
