To gain entrance, two windows were broken in, and the attempted burglar was discovered but escaped. The Rev. W. M. Paden, pastor, was notified and made an investigation, but lound nothing missing. Four years ago the communion service was stolen snd two years ago a thief who passed as a worshiper concealed himself in the church at the close of the meeting and rifled the Sunday school contribution boxes of a considerable sum of money. ur Rapid Transit Co. TIMECARD with the robbery of the Jewelry store of E. F. Amuast-on Main street, Salt Lake, early Sunday morning. Policeman J. 11. Lyon found one of t!ie suspicious characters trying to sell a ring at Third West and South Temple street about S o'clock Monday night. He promptly took the supposed peddler into custody and turned him over to Detectives Shannon and Wilson. On him were found twenty plain gold and signet wedding rings, ten of each, that E. F. Amussen, proprietor of the looted store, identified as having been stolen from his place. Detectives Shannon and Wilson locked Watson up and Immediately set out to catch the second peddler. On South Temple near Third West street they found a man giving the name of George Williams, alias J. Wilson, trying to sell a ring. When Williams saw the detei lives approaching he threw the ring into the street and attempted to flee, but the officers were too quick for him. After Williams's rapture they found the discarded ring In the street, and Mr. Amussen identified It as one of the pieces of Jewelry stolen from his store Sunday morning. The plaintiffs In thle case own 12,000 acres of land In the district where they are ranging their sheep, and they propose to fight the matter to a finish In the courts. The probaotuilra are that at least one hundred other suits will be filed. Austin and Edward J. Keames, prominent Utah sheepmen, left Salt Lake Monday for Boston to arrange to obtain a warehouse there in which they can store Utah wool until the market becomes more brisk. They have also been empowered by the association to arrange for another warehouse In SL Louis, Mo., and there exists very little doubt but that this will be successfully done. Monday morning the secretary of the association wired Senator Reed Smoot asking him to meet Messrs.
