What colors people dislike will tell personality functions or disfunctions. Red is an energy color, and if it is the first choice of the is emand individual, phasized. Orange as a first choice indicates a warm person, who values their friends, who enjoys entertaining, and a real humanitarian. Yellow is a warm cheery color, and so is the person who enjoys this color. There is a desire for selfdevelopment. Green, though a cool color, is indeed a strong t. choice. The person is with Sometimes there is a desire to impress others. Blue is a very popular color. The darker the blue hue, the greater the response to the people with great depth of feeling. People who like blue hues, are usually cooperative, desire order and try to avoid stress. Hangings, or antependia, on alter, lectern, and pulpit are to a church what curtains and drapes are to a home. Whenever they appear on churches, the changing colors attract, add variety, and point to the significance of the season or the festival. The same colors of the church year are used also for bookmarks and stoles. White is the symbol of the Creator, light, joy, purity, glory, and perfection. Black is the color of grief and sorrow. Sometimes women who have a weight problem will wear black to look lighter, not because they like the color. Violet denotes mourning and penitence, and is also symbolic of humility, suffering, sympathy, and fasting. Purple, equally appropriate, is frequently used instead of violet. Purple is (he regal color, referring to the triumphal entry of the King of kings, who was of royal (Davidic) descent, and who is the Ruler of many hearts. Purple is also the color of penitence, referring to the purple garments put on our Lord when they mocked him (John 19:2; Mark 15:17). Red depicts devine zeal on the day of Pentecost, refers to the blood of the martyrs of some churches. The (Mormon) Church does not lean toward ceremonial colors. (keen is the universal color of nature, signifying hope. Gold is a magnificent hue, and refers to worth, virtue, the glory of God and Christian might. Grey is a neutral shade. People who like this color have worked diligently to get a position of worth or higher achievement. It is an authoriatative choice. Whoever chooses grey as a first choice wants to wall everything off, to remain uncommitted and uninvolved so that he or she can shield themselves from any outside influence or stimulus. These people are unwilling to take part and will insulate themselves from direct participation. Many scientists will wear grey suits and feel comfortable. Pink is a feminine shade indicating the individual enjoys music, art, creativity in many areas. It could also, be an indication of stress, and a need for more rest. Brown is a serious choice. Brown is the color of the earth. The impulsive vitality of red is reduced and becomes more inpeaceful through this darkening. The brown-choic- e dividual will make an effort to keep a promise or repay a loan. These people are solid citizens who dislike teasing or joking and feel that life has a lot more to offer. Whoever chooses brown as a first or second choice is in transit or are in some sort of change. When the change occurs, the color choice will change. Latter-Day-Sain- morrow. These people are asking their representatives to oppose recently proposed regulations that would make it a lot harder for our growers to protect our food with crop protection chemicals than it is now. Scientists say those chemicals could be all that keep us from losing up to half our crops every year. Without the protection the chemicals provide, many growers would find it tough to stay in business.
