Show SUN CHRONICLE, June 8, 1978, Page 5 CLEARFIELD COURIER, June 7, 1978, Page OBITUARIES Erma Leora Harris Wade RIVERDALE Funeral reared and educated at services for Erma Leora Harris Wade, 77, were held Monday, June 5 at the Chapel of the Flowers Attending the annual DUP Jubilee which was held Ernest Chavez. He will be buried in Gridley. Mrs. H G. Hammon was among seven luncheon guests of Mrs. Eldren Parker at the Parker home in Roy on Thursday afternoon. Kaylene McCulloch and Jan Bridges are among four Clearfield High school coeds who will be delegates to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State at Southern Utah State College from June They are daughters of Mr. in Clearfield on Saturday were members of the Sunset and Sandridge Camps from Sunset. From the Sunset camp were: captain, Doris Elmer, Erlene Ward, Wanda Nielsen, Margaret Willis, Pearl Dabel, Mildred Porter, Lavon Reid, Harriet Daines, Sylvia Smith, Margaret Willis, Roxey Bronson and Wanda Neilsen. The latter four, along with Pearl Anderson who was ill were given special recognition for being active members over 80 years of age. Attending from the Sandridge Camp were Bonnie Jenkins, Ruth Larsen and Luella Carver. Vic and Kathryn Brady were among those attending exercises graduatiion the Riverdale 3rd Ward. Mrs. Wade was a resident at 671 W. 4400 S. No. 25. She passed away at an Ogden nursing home on Thursday, June 1, 1978 of causes incident to age. She was born on July 20, at Stone, Idaho (near Snowville) a daughter of Charles Edwin and Christine Petersen Harris. She was 1900 at class committee Harry Bud Fessler member and was in debate, junior choir, the National Honor Society and FHA. Miss Bridges, a member of the Junior Class Committee, has been chairman of for school decorations Utah State on Saturday. Their son Thomas Vic was among the graduates with a MA degree in business education. Following the graduation rites they and a number of family members enjoyed a picnic in a Logan Park. Among those present were Bob and Renae Brady of West Jordan, Mary Key Harper of Orem, Thomass wife Marilyn and their 2 children, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leland Cole of Ogden and two of her sisters. Cheri Robinson of South Ogden and Mark and Dorothy Dalebout of Ogden were guests of Glenn and Linda Thomas on Sunday. Mrs. Robinson is Lindas mother, Dorothy her sister. They came for the services on Sunday where the new son of the Thomass was called Tyler John. Guests of Ferris and Nancy Kunz on Sunday were her parents Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Mather Maradene Rock and son Shane, Kaye and Dorothy Mather and 4 children, Robert and Laura Mather and daughter all of Smithfield. Vida Kunz, mother of Ferris, Annetta Bell and 4 children, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Henry of Layton and Laura Wallentine of Layton. The new son of the Kunzs was named Joshua Ferris in church services. Brent and Robin Wallace of Ogden have their first child, a girl born on May 27. Grandparents are Arley and Florence Wallace, Arley and Lorene Wallace. John R. Chavez, 58, of Gridley, Calif, who died on May 28 in St. Benedicts Hospital was the brother of Great-grandparen- dances, supervisor parade floats, planning committee for assemblies. She belongs to the National Honor Society and Junior Choir and is a Junior Volunteer at McKay Dee Hospital. Marcos and Kattie Martinez have a new daughter born on May 31. The Robert Turners were among family members who gathered on Sunday for the observance of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. Turners parents Mr. and Martin E. Turner of Ogden. The affair was held at the home of a daughter Mrs. Larry Stahle in Bountiful. On Wednesday the Turners will leave on a tour of Hawaii. They were married on June 6, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Turner was the former Signe Christiansen. Both are active members of the LDS Church. Their other children are Mrs. Stahle, Mrs. Leroy (Signe Norma) Sturgeon of Farmington and Mrs. John R. (Carolyn Marie) Murphy Mrs. of Ogden. Floyd and Ruth Dawson have another grandchild. A little girl was born on May 31 to Kevin and Vickie Dawson of St. Anthony, Idaho. This is the 8th grandchild of the Dawsons, all girls. Kevin who is in technical school in Provo made a hurried trip home to be there for the arrival of his first child. and Joel Harry died Wednesday, at his home. Mr. Fessler was born Jan. 17, 1903, in Reading, Pa., a son of Harry and Marry Louise Deeter Fessler. He was married to Matilda Keller on Oct. 31, 1927, in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt 300 W., May 31, 1978, Lake LDS Temple on Jan. 16, 1952. He was and reared educated in Reading, Pa., and served in the U.S. Army from 1919 to 1929. He came to Utah in 1925 with the U.S. Infantry, stationed at Ft. Douglas, Utah. In 1941 he moved to Ogden and started working at the Ogden Arsenal. He transferred to Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1970. He was a parliamentarian of the AFGE of Hill Air Force Base, Local 1592, and was former secretary. The early days of their marriage were spent at Stone. They later moved to Ogden where he died She moved into her mobile home in Riverdale a number of years ago. She is survived by three sons and four daughters. They are Rollin Larry Wade of Hooper, Rollin Joseph Wade of Ogden, Charles Verle Wade of Oxnard, California, Mrs. Henry Mortuary.
