McAndrew and daughters, Shirley and Pamela, have gone to San Francisco, where Major McAndrew is now stationed, r Mrs. William McCrea, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Francis OConnor and daughter, Beatrice, have returned from a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Reid, daughter, McCaskey from the Fort. They have endeared themselves in the hearts of the people here. All we can do is to wish them the best of luck at their new post in Pennsylvania, where Col. McCaskey has been transferred to take charge of the Pennsylvania State SALT LAKE SECOND ANNUAL HORSE SHOW. The second annual Salt Lake horse show will be held next Wednesday and Thursday. According- to Dr. R. N. Mead, manager of the show, keen interest is being evinced by all lovers of thoroughbred horses throughout Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Cups have been donated by several business men. L. B. Barnett of Pomona has been selected as judge. Mr. Barnett has officiated at some of the largest horse shows in the country, and is personally known to thousands of lovers of fine horses. Among the features will be lightweight polo ponies, gentlemens and ladies walk, trot and canter class, ladies and gentlemens pairs, polo d stake race, novice hunter class, saddle class, open jumpers and heavy and middleweight polo ponies. Colorful and spectacular will be the musical, saddle drill by the Balt Lake Girl Cossacks who will open the show each night. Helds Band will furnish the music. - College. At the same time Salt Lake extends a hearty welcome to Col. Howard C. Price, Mrs. Price and family. We hope they will enjoy our city. We can promise them that the hot weather . Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Schulte and son, John, returned Saturday from a two months trip to Australia, South Seas and Honolulu Mr. and Mrs. George F. Wasson and son, George F., Jr., have returned from the coast. The most important womens golf tourney held in the state for several . years will take place Monday at the v. Country club course. The meet will be held under the title of' the Salt Lake Country club invitational handicap medal tourney and is open to all women players of the state who have a certified handicap for some one club. The play will be eighteen holes. Pairings for the tourney will be made at 1 oclock Monday afternoon ; and the play will immediately follow. ! All entries must be in before 12:30 ' oclock.
