The singing of Bonanova, recalls the day of Caruso as he holds the attention of the audience with his melodious voice. The stringed Brazilian orchestra, furnishes the music, and such music, when has one heard the MAE MURRAY MAKES BIG HIT AT PANTAGES THEATRE balancing feats never seen before in a classy vaudeville act that pleases. Rowland and Joyce, in Their "18th Hole, present a golf scene which carries away the audience in rapture. Unique stories and jokes make a big hit. Chase and Latour present a Double Exposure of Life, showing how love is made by the rich and the uncultured poor, but in the end their paths lead to the same place the altar, divorce court, or disappointment. It is a very entertaining skit. All the worlds a stage and the Mae people there are the actors. Murray, however, has been more successful than most of us. As she steps out on the stage at the Pantages theatre she is hailed as the queen of the theatrical world and star of the screen with loud applause. Few of us have met her personally, but we all know her. Her fame reached us years ago and the screen introduced her, so we know her well. She is the dearest and most clever artiste that has ever appeared on the local stage and the crowds are rushing to the Pantages theatre to see her. She will be there for one week in a classic musical and dancing presentation of the most thrilling. Her dancing and acting, the dance of the Merry Wdow, the play in which she made such a big hit, is a thing of beauty and art and moderation and as an example of shrewd selling, it is more poignant than a volume.
