EVANS & EARLY I s i Telephone Wasatch 5511 And we think of the race weve run, We can look to the brow of the western hill To the rim of lifes setting sun And we know that weve lived, and the space of time From birth, till the battles won, Was filled to the brim, and this world of ours Has smiled on the job weve done. When we look to the time when we chose the row We have hoped through the length-nin-g year, g task And we think of the life-lon- weve had, With its smile, and its flowing tear, We can know that weve played, to its earthly end, Have conquered its blinding fear, And the life that we have is a pleasure still We are glad to have lingered here. When we come to the end of our little day, When weve climbed up the last long grade, We are proud of the work we have had to do, We are glad we were not afraid; And the set of the soul, as the set of the sun. When the shadows of night are laid, Takes pride in the day that is closed and done We are proud of the man weve made. Justin L. Patterson. In the Monitor.
