Show THE CITIZEN 10 Engineering Projects & Building Construction Under Way In The Intermountain States ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION. The weekly report of the engineering and building construction is announced by the Associated General Contractors of America, and is as follows: Calling for bids on lining with concrete face, of Mountain Dell dam in Parleys canyon this city has been held over to next year by action of City Commissioners this week. Bids will be received up to 9 a. m., October 19th, by District Engineer, Bureau of Public Roads, U.' S. Dept, of Agriculture, 403 Kiesel Building, Ogline, den, Utah, on Salmon-Montan- a Section 2, National Forest Road Project in Salmon National Forest, Lemhi county, Idaho. Length of project is 2.34 miles. Check for 5 per cent with bids. Plans for $10 from above address or at Gibbons ville, Idaho. The town of Kamas, Utah, is calling for bids on 10,000 feet of trench excavation for town waterworks system replacement. Plans and further particulars from Lawrence Larson, town clerk, Kamas, Utah. K. J. Nielson, resident engineer, Monticello, Utah, has been ordered to make a survey of proposed highway between Monticello and Big Wash, a distance of 36 miles, by the State Hoad Commission. Plans and specifications for Rockville Highway from Rockville to Springdale, Utah, are being approved by Bureau of Public Roads and recent right of way dispute has been cleared up, according to State Road Commission who say that contract for this will probably be let this fall with the view to having the work done this winter. Portland, Oregon, interests represented by R. M. Murray of Spokane, an. nounce that they are prepared to finance entirely the construction of a bridge ovrr Snake river canyon at Blue Lakes, 5 miles north of Twin Falls, Idaho. Dr. D. B. Steinman, noted bridge builder of New York has conducted an investigation as to feasibility of the project as a paying toll project and as a result states that he recommended New York investors to back the project as a profitable one. rim-to-ri- m BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. Secretary of Treasury and Postmaster General have Jointly recommended an appropriation of $900,000 to enlarge ''nit Lake City post office and court house and to enlarge present federal building. It is expected that this appropriation will be passed by Congress at its coming session.
